Hearing Aid Battery Safety - Zinc Air

  1. Fire - Never dispose of batteries in a fire. They may rupture, releasing internal ingredients.
  2. If a battery or button cell is ingested or inserted, seek medical attention immediately.
  3. Do not store batteries or leave them in an area easily accessed by children.
  4. Promptly remove dead or weak batteries from devices.
  5. Never mix old and new batteries in a device. Battery leakage may occur. Replace all batteries in a device at the same time.
  6. Never mix battery types in a device. Battery leakage may occur.
  7. Carefully install batteries in the correct polarity direction ( + and -) per the device manufacturer's instructions.
  8. Do not leave battery powered devices switched "on" after the batteries are exhausted. Battery leakage may occur.
  9. Remove batteries from any device that will be stored for long periods of time.
  10. Do not allow batteries to contact metal objects or other batteries - may leak or rupture.
  11. Do not recharge Zinc Air batteries, may leak or rupture.
  12. Do not try to disassemble batteries.
  13. Store batteries in a cool, dry location. Avoid temperature extremes. Keep batteries in original package until you are ready to use them.

Rayovac are one of the few hearing aid battery manufacturers to back up their batteries with a product guarantee.

 

We will replace, at our discretion, any device damaged by a Rayovac battery, if handled correctly, before the best before date and sent pre-paid to your local Rayovac office.
